I am writting dis for the benefit of all .Physiotherapy very commonly used term and many people are aware of what it is but there are still the population who think its just some physical exercises and not a treatment.So this is to make society aware of PHYSIOTHERAPY.We as physiotherapists assess the patient make the patient comfortable Diagnose the problem and explain the treatment plan to the patient and start the therapy.We use modalities to give relief to the suffering.We try our best to make them back to normal as soon as possible.And after all dese procedures we advise them few precautions to be taken and a home exercise regime to maintain the effect of treatment given and have long term benefits without relapsing.Yes;the patient responds to our typical question Did u understand what we explained to you dey say yes of course.We den again highlight that dese modalities are just for temporary relief from inflammation tenderness soreness and stiffness.But u need to do exercises for a duration of period as prescribed to you to reap it's benefits.Once the pain is gone no stiffness and patient is back to work .Dey forget the advice of doing exercises.After few days when the pain or stiffness comes again dat is the time when they recall doctors advice.Immediately they start doing exercises and pain aggravates .Now patient is again back to therapist Maam our pain has again occurred.My first question Did u do your exercises?yes yes doctor we did the exercise when little bit pain started and after exercise pain has increased.What happened why it occurred so soon again.The only answer to this is Please do not do any form of exercise when you have pain.Stop your exercise if it aggravates your pain.Maintain the exercise regime throughout.Best of luck.Feel free to ask questions related to my post.U can reach me at bhavnachhabra2k83@gmail.com
